Tenison Woods College student Jessica Tresidder has been awarded this year’s Community Bank Mount Gambier and District Scholarship.
The scholarship is awarded to a first-time tertiary student to supplement their study costs in their first year of higher education.
Jess, who achieved an ATAR of 97.85 at Tenison Woods College in 2022, plans to use the local scholarship to undertake first-time tertiary study in a double degree of Bachelor of Cognitive Neuropsychology and Business at the University of South Australia and to help cover the costs of residential college accommodation.
In addition to Jess’ excellent Year 12 results she was accepted into UniSA’s Accelerate Program (where she successfully completed two courses) and volunteered with her school’s Learning Assistance Program.
Jess also volunteers at ac.care, teaches art to young children and has run her own successful online business.
Community Bank Mount Gambier and District branch manager Emma Horrigan said Jess was a deserving recipient.
“Jess has demonstrated a commitment to her studies and a passion for helping others,” Ms Horrigan said.
“This is another way that our Community Bank company commits to building stronger communities.
“We wish Jess all the best of luck as she begins an exciting journey toward achieving her academic goals.”
The Community Bank Mount Gambier and District Bank Scholarship is part of the Bendigo and Adelaide Bank Scholarship Program, with more than 40 community bank branches and other partners taking part from across Australia.
