Millicent High School recently hosted the 2023 Interschool Cross Country competition in the forest adjacent to the Millicent Golf Course at Mount Burr.
The seven schools who participated were Millicent, Mount Gambier, Grant, Naracoorte and Bordertown high schools and Tenison Woods and Saint Martin’s Lutheran colleges.
The competitors were faced with a 3km mixed terrain track that comprised of hills, sand and scenery.
Organisers thanked the Millicent Golf Club who supported the day by offering their facilities for students to access.
Following on from the interschool athletics carnival in March, the cross-country event concluded the Millicent High School octennial athletics hosting responsibilities until it hosts them again in eight years’ time.
