Mill production high

Production levels at the Kimberly-Clark Australia Millicent Mill are up by 10% compared to 2020 and before the impact of the COVID pandemic.

The plant has imported 100% of its pulp for the past decade which it converts into paper towel, tissues and toilet paper.

Demand peaked two years ago when there was nationwide panic buying of toilet paper.

The company reportedly sends 15,000 pallets of product out of the Millicent Mill each week.

According to the public statements of KCA management, the ongoing higher demand for its Millicent-made products could be attributed to global supply chain issues for its competitors.

Meanwhile, a wage offer is expeted to be made by management to the 300 blue and white-collar employees who are covered by awards.
