Millicent event return pushed back

Next Spring will be a great time to visit Millicent with the annual four-day Geltwood Craft Festival starting on October 14.

The event was not held in 2020 and 2021 on account of COVID and it was originally scheduled for next month.

Yet again, COVID-related factors have intervened and there has been a six-month postponement.

The Spring sunshine will assist the outdoors events.

Geltwood Market Day always has a great atmosphere and it will be held on Sunday, October 16 in 2022.

The Geltwood committee has met regularly, ensuring that Millicent once again presents a festival that will draw people back again and again.

The committee members are proud of their craft and wish to share their expertise and knowledge with all, encouraging friends and colleagues, groups and crafts people from across the Limestone Coast to display their craft and participate in the workshops.

Millicent has many talented crafts people and they meet from Rendelsham to Hatherleigh across Millicent and Beachport all crafting something different and special.

First held over 20 years ago, the Geltwood Festival was awarded the Wattle Range Community Event of the year for 2009.

The festival celebrates country living and the pleasures of crafting something with your own hands.
