Millicent minds make difference

The Wattle Range Suicide Prevention Network has again turned to an ever-reliable fundraising event.

It stages one such activity each year with the 2024 fundraiser being a quiz night at the Millicent War Memorial Civic and Arts Centre on June 21.

As last year, the usual quiz night arrangements will apply such as BYO drinks and nibbles along with tables of 10.

The twist will be having two visiting quizmasters from Melbourne providing the brain teasers.

The 2023 event was a sell-out and won by the table with the catchy name: Our Drinking Team has a Trivia Problem.

The public response was outstanding with a full capacity of 23 tables while the Millicent business and retail sector was generous in donating various
prizes.

Tables of family groups and work colleagues were commonplace while such community groups as Radio 5THE FM and the Millicent and Surrounds Health Support Group also took part.

Meanwhile, the quiz season has arrived in Millicent with a number of such events being well patronised.
