Night owls brave cold conditions

It was a joy to see 116 players on the greens braving the cold conditions for the Millicent Bowling Club’s Night Owls.

Touches went to Malcolm McRobert with 4, Margaret Lang (Miss Fitts) 3, Brian Haines (Rotary) 3, Paul Joiner (Lion Rams) 3, Jed Telfer (The Pups) 3, and Barb Leicester (Acky’s Owls) 3.

Red Division saw Somerset Legends (Deb Butler, Wilbur Lane, John Silis, David Sharp) defeat Grand Hotel 18+5, while other winners were Rovers 16+6, Sparkies 16+5, Jack Attack 16+1, Untouchables on a forfeit 10+5.

In Blue Division Maccas (Ray Doecke, Maureen McRobert, Malcolm McRobert, Graham Abbott) defeated Try Hards 18+19.

Other winners were Somery Seniors, Rotary 17+5, Lions 17+4, Acky’s Owls 16+1.

In White Division Beanz Team (Edward Hamilton, Bradley Slape, Rhonda Slape, Ian Slape) defeated Black Beetles 19+14, with other winners Gizzzies Crew 16+3, Boomers (new team) 14+2, X Factor 14+1.
