As the Millicent Bowls Club heads into the middle of December and Christmas, players are getting closer to the end of this year’s competition.
After a big season the Night Owls bowlers are all looking forward to their barbecue next week to complete proceedings in style.
On the bowling green in the penultimate round, Ian Slape (Beanz Team) 5, Ross Warren (Jack Attack) 4, Robin Thomas (Scrappers) 3, Nick Waring (Gizzies Crew) 3, Pam Packer (Birdies 3) and Nigel Ross (Sunnies) 3 all scored some touches.
Red Division was dominated by the Rovers team.
Mick Pedler, Stephen Skeer, John Buhlmann and Rodger Buckmaster defeated the Beetles 28+12, while other winners were Tant Tigers 28+6, Untouchables 28+3 and Max’s Four 27+7.
Jack Attack and Sparkies could not be separated after having a draw 18 and 14.
Grand Hotel’s Jamie Vearing, Bill Chapman, Jim Taylor and Chris Vearing overcame Rotary 30+16 in Blue Division.
Birdies 29+12, Maccas 28+17, Somery Seniors 27+2 and Awesome Foursome 25+3 also enjoyed some success.
White Division was ambushed by Lions Roar after Ralph Domaschenz, Dave Turner, Simon Laslett and Steve Ponsett defeated Mayura Mob 28+11, while Miss Fitts 28+8, Gizzies Crew 28+5, The Pups 27+2 and Sunnies 25+5 were also teams to watch.
