East Gambier V
North Gambier

East Gambier will host a North Gambier side which will not be featuring in the grand final, for the final round of the Dycer Constructions Big Bash.

North Gambier found themselves unable to qualify for the grand final even after the last round win over last 2022 premiers West Gambier.

East Gambier will be full of confidence they can go all the way now after beating a previously undefeated Mil Lel side.

While a win is not necessary for East to qualify for the grand final they would still need other results to go their way.

However if they can beat North then a grand final berth is a guarantee.

North will be hoping to cause a shakeup by claiming a victory and will look for early wickets and look to nullify the effect of Dion Stratford and East captain Alex Hentschke who has been handy with the bat in the middle order.

While the two sides’ seasons have been far removed in success it is still shaping up to be a tight contest.

West Gambier V Penola

It’s an important game for the away side as Penola must secure a win if they are to be in the running for the grand final of the Dycer Construction Big Bash.

After last round’s defeat against North Gambier, West found themselves with no chance to make the grand final to defend their title for the 2022/23 season.

Penola’s hopes for a finals berth rely on them beating West and then South or North winning their matches.

If they focus on the game at hand Penola can come out on top.

They have performed well at points throughout the season but have a tough game ahead of them.

After a disappointing loss last round to South, Penola will be out to prove a point and bounce back to fight for a place in the grand final.

Mil Lel V South Gambier

This is the only game of the round where both teams are vying for a spot in the grand final.

Mil Lel is sitting with three wins and South has two.

The game is simple for South – to win and hope other results fall in your favour, or lose and be eliminated.

Mil Lel has a fair more simple equation, if they can get over the line against South then their spot in the grand final is guaranteed.

A loss could possibly see them go through, depending on the results of the other games.

After suffering their first defeat of the season last round against East, Mil Lel will be looking to bounce back before the grand final.

South will be full of confidence after a big win over Penola, they will feel they can get the job done and the results will fall right for them to qualify for the grand final.

The result of the game will have huge consequences for every team still in finals contention, and it will be sure to be an exciting battle between two good sides.
