‘Old Reds’ dine in region

Agathering of “Old Reds” dined at the Pipers Restaurant in Penola on Thursday night.

This is the nickname given to old scholars of the prestigious Prince Alfred College in Adelaide.

The dinner was the annual meeting of local past students and was an opportunity to thank and farewell PAC headmaster Bradley Fenner.

He is retiring mid-way through 2022 after almost eight years at the helm.

Mr Fenner was in the region last week as he manned the promotional booth for Prince Alfred College at the Lucindale Field Days.

The toast to the college was proposed by father-and-son Will and Lachlan Nolan and Mr Fenner responded.

Among the 50 diners were “Old Red” and re-elected Liberal member for MacKillop Nick McBride.
