Penola V South Gambier
Penola capped off a monumental day with a great win over South Gambier on Sunday.
Penola got off to a good start with two goals in the quarter and took a 15 point lead into the first break.
The Eagles built onto their lead with five goals in the second quarter, while the Demons struggled in the first half and failed to register a goal to be down by 47 at half time.
Penola’s scoring slowed in the third quarter, with only one goal kicked, while South was again kept goalless and was down by 54 at the last break.
The Eagles closed out the match kicking another four goals, with Angela Broad, Amanda Wurst and Shandeen Balshaw capping off a great season by playing their 50th games on the weekend.
