“We were clinical when we were on top,” he said.

“In the second half we scored two when we should have scored four or five and Blue Lake – to their credit – bounced back with a goal and made it a lot tighter, but overall it was good to get the result.”

Dycer thought there were good performances across the board in the game.

“I thought that Alex Hill in goals was very solid, he had really good communication,” he said.

“Lewis March out on the wing had another good game and Christian Fleetwood in the middle was very, very good.

“James Davey too in the backline, those four on each line were really good contributors.”
