QASHQAI adventure awaits

After pioneering the crossover SUV in Europe in 2006, the all-new Nissan QASHQAI delivers the perfect blend of hatchback compactness and SUV practicality.

Sporting a bold new look incorporating sharp LED head and tail lamps, striking alloy wheels, a roomy interior and sleek and stylish compact body, the Nissan QASHQAI is once again raising the category standard, bringing a new vision to the small SUV market.

The all new QASHQAI is currently featured centre stage at O.G.R. Nissan, with the ST-L variant available for inspection.

The new body style looks stunning in its Magnetic Blue colourway, with the deep blue paintwork glistening in the brief winter sunlight, but maintaining a great depth even when the cloudy weather found its way back to the region.

If you’re looking for something different in the colour department, Gun Metallic, Ceramic Grey, Platinum, Burgundy, Fuji Sunset Red, Ivory Pearl and Pearl Black are also available, while a sporty black roof colourway is available across select choices for a touch of additional spice.

Stylish 19-inch alloy wheels are also wrapped in quality Continental EcoContact 6 tyres to help the QASHQAI grip to the road surface.

Powering the compact SUV is Nissan’s DIG-T HR13 powerplant – a 1.3-litre turbocharged petrol engine delivering 110kW of power and 250Nm of torque to the front wheels through the manufacturers Xtronic CVT automatic transmission.

These numbers are impressive from such a small sized engine, with the QASHQAI also maintaining a combined fuel consumption of 6.1-litres per hundred kilometres travelled.

Hopping inside, occupants are graced with a quality trim featuring part cloth and part leather accented seating, with the driver’s seat receiving 8-way power adjustability with manual lumbar support for the passenger seat, while both front seats have been given the heated treatment to assist with those cold Limestone Coast days.

Providing additional touches of warmth to pair perfectly with the seating are a heated steering wheel and dual-zone climate control system, allowing both driver and passenger to dial in the perfect level of comfort no matter the length of journey.

A 12.3-inch touch-screen display features satellite navigation with live traffic monitoring, intelligent around view monitoring with moving object detection and quality reverse camera, while a wireless charging pad and host of USB ports help keep devices charged up when out on the road.

Tight spots are no longer a problem with Nissan’s around view monitoring, with camera angles able to be switched from rear camera to side camera to see the distance to the kerb, while an all-around view gives a virtual 360-degree birds eye view as you manoeuvre your way into the busiest car parks, making the vehicle perfect for every day driving no matter your location.

This system was put to the test reverse parking at the busy Wulanda car park and made the process a breeze.

Nissan has also dialed-in the QASHQAI handling and power delivery, with the engine delivering a precise amount of power with each press of the throttle, with a little kick from the turbocharged engine when the need arises, with the steering also direct and precise when gliding effortlessly around the city or the open road.

A host of genuine Nissan accessories are available for the entire QASHQAI range, with three packs on offer direct from the dealer.

For those who like to add a touch of additional flair, the Style pack adds front, side and rear chrome accents; a Protect pack helps those who lead a busy lifestyle with the addition of luggage entry scuff plate, velour carpet floor mats and front and rear mud guards, while for those looking to head out and explore, an Adventure pack adds roof cross bars, towbar and includes a safety pack.

Pricing starts at $45,887 driveaway for the Nissan QASHQAI ST-L, with the entry level ST starting at $37,338, ST+ from $41,458 and the top of the line QASHQAI Ti from $51, 32 with the addition of a panoramic glass sunroof, 10.8-inch heads up display, motion activated tailgate, 3D quilted premium leather accented trim and massage front seats.

To check out the all-new Nissan QASHQAI range for yourself, pop in and see the team at O.G.R. Nissan at 33-41 Penola Road, Mount Gambier or contact the dealership on 8724 1177 to find out more.
