Further work is planned for the heritage-listed Tantanoola Railway Station.
The 140-year-old timber structure last had a major makeover around 25 years ago.
The Tantanoola Progress Association has unofficially adopted the station building and associated goods shed.
It has begun painting and repairs to the station’s woodwork with the assistance of grants and volunteer labour.
There is still some graffiti present and doors and windows have to be replaced.
The station name has to be repainted as well.
