The Millicent RSL has appointed its first-ever archivist and historian.
At the recent annual general meeting, RSL member Peter Murphy was appointed to the role.
Mr Murphy joins continuing office-holders Chris Mathias (president), Bruce Clayson (vice-president), Richard Taylor (secretary) and Dieter Schueller (treasurer).
Mr Mathias told The SE Voice that the sub-branch held a significant amount of historical material along with the local history collection at the Millicent Public Library.
The Millicent RSL is one of the town’s oldest organisations as it dates back to the 1920s.
