Regional sharp shooters aim high

The South East Field and Game Association recently hosted its Fennell Forestry 75 Target Sporting Clays event at Burrungule Park.

Apart from an early shower the weather conditions were ‘near perfect’ for the 82 nominated competitors tackling the course set up by Ken Atkin and his hard working crew, with Scott McIntyre barrelling up the Gambier Shooting Supplies High Gun with 69 targets from a possible 75.

The Sage/Martiensen Memorial Team Shoot – sponsored by Richard Sage – was won by Off The Gun team winners Jeremy Kent, Kody Vanderhorst and Greg Kessagian, while Bernie Peters, Nicola Dunn, Sonia Vanderhorst and Delia O’Daniel were handicap team winners.

The club’s next event will be held on December 18 at Burrungule Park, where there will be 50 targets sporting, 20 target Compak SideXside and a Champion of Champions shoot-off at 9am with following competitors Jamie Dunn, Jeremy Kent, Leigh Dunn, Daniel Falco, Ron Rhook and Scott McIntyre.
