Round 9 will get under way in the Mount Gambier and District Tennis Association season this weekend with Uniting taking on an undefeated Glencoe side in Division 1, while Mount Schank – which is yet to score a win – play West Gambier and Reidy Park will go up against Centrals/Uniting/Gambier.
Uniting will have tough competition against Glencoe as the team has only recorded one win this season and will need to bring its A-game in order to defeat get on top of the opposition.
Mount Schank has already fallen at the hands of West Gambier back in round 4 with West Gambier claiming a 10 (65) – 2 (31) victory, however Mount Schank may surprise its opponent come Saturday afternoon while Reidy Park will find it tough against Centrals/Uniting/Gambier
This week’s report will focus on Mount Gambier and District Tennis Association Division 3 action as Mount Gambier will take on West Gambier, Moorak will hit the courts against Mil Lel and Centrals and Uniting will go head-to-head, while the D Girls report will focus on Moorak/Mil Lel against West Gambier and Mount Gambier v Uniting.
With a slight change of rain in the air for Saturday’s forecast, here’s hoping the weather holds off and the association players can serve up another solid round of tennis.
