SAPOL recruitment drive a big success

The South Australia Police (SAPOL) undertook a regional recruitment assessment centre in Mount Gambier this month for locals interesting in a policing career.

The three day event included TAFE and fitness testing, an information session and interviews which attracted nearly 20 interested applicants.

The recruitment drive targeted applicants from throughout the Limestone Coast including Mount Gambier, Naracoorte, Robe, Penola and from across the Victorian border.

South Australia Police Organisational Development director Jessica Lynch said it was fantastic to see 19 locals attend the seminar.

“South Australia Police (SAPOL) Recruiting Team members recently visited Mount Gambier to conduct a recruiting seminar and undertook some testing of potential candidates,” she said.

“SAPOL members thoroughly enjoyed the face-to-face interaction with all attendees.

“We look forward to seeing new applications from potential candidates from the Mount Gambier – Limestone Coast area.

“We remain actively recruiting and encourage any person who believes they could be a police officer to go to our recruiting website at Achievemore – Join Us (police.sa.gov.au).”
