Services reach rural residents

The Federal Government’s mobile service centre has called at many towns across the Limestone Coast in recent weeks.

It was the van’s first such visit since 2018.

Public servants employed by Services Australia gave information, assistance and support to rural and regional residents.

This included older Australians, families, students, job seekers, people with disability, carers, farmers, self-employed people and veterans and their families.

Staff provided assistance with applying for most Centrelink benefits as well matters relating to the Department of Veteran Affairs.
