Shooters prepare for festive event

The 75 Target sporting clays event was held recently with the support of sponsors Exact Align, Fennell Forestry and Green Triangle Forest Products.
Ken Atkin and his hard working crew set the course at Burrungule Park to test shooters’ skill as 78 competitors nominated for the event.

Jamie Dunn made a welcome return to the winners circle shooting 73/75 to claim the Gambier Shooting Supplies High Gun, while Ron Rhook needed a shoot off with Daniel Ashby to claim runners up spot in AA Grade after both had shot 70/75.

The Sub Junior victory was also decided by a shoot-off between Kain Ashby and Jack Dyson after both had shot 55/75.

At the association’s annual general meeting, Charles Wallis stood down after six years as South East Field and Game Association president, with Scott Fleming elected to the leader’s role.

The next event will be the Burrungule Park Christmas Shoot 50 Targets and Champion of Champions Shoot Off on Sunday, December 17 with Christmas dinner and presentations to follow the shoot.
