Ackland said this van was a dream come true forgoing wedding plans to purchase the vehicle.

“It was Jess who made the final call to forgo the wedding and elope to spend the money on purchasing the van,” he said.

“We were originally going to throw some paint on it and just drive around but it was a love affair for the couple.

Being a Fitter and Turner by trade Jason decided to do it properly with a complete overhaul to original factory specs.

After taking three to four years to rebuild the van the Acklands unveiled their pride and joy at the 2021 van nationals in Adelaide Expo taking out the best van, best van in category and judge number 7 van in Australia.

Jason and Jess will host the 47th Van nationals at Barmera on the April easter long weekend 2022.
