Robe District Council has stated that it is “incredibly disappointing” the community’s entrance statement on Main Road was vandalised just ahead of Christmas.

“We have moved to repair the statement as quickly as possible,” a council spokesperson said.

“It has become an important tourism asset with many of our visitors stopping to take photos.

“If anybody has any information regarding the damage, please contact the council.

“We are happy to treat any information as anonymous.”
