Weekly obituaries missed

The Millicent-based South East Family History Group has voted to lodge a formal complaint with the management of a capital city newspaper.

For over 20 years, every Saturday edition carried a page containing three obituaries.

However, the weekly publishing routine has become haphazard so far in 2023.

There have been numerous Saturdays when the obituaries have not appeared.

The May monthly meeting of the SEFHG passed a motion to be actioned by the group’s leadership.

The Adelaide newspaper will be told the SEFHG values such obituaries for the information they contain and also regrets that such weekly features appear to have been discontinued.
