Millicent Gallery hosts SEAS Open Art Awards

The Millicent Gallery is currently hosting the annual South East Art Society (SEAS) Open Art Awards.

Around 100 people recently attended the official opening and admired the 108 artworks on display.

In its 16th year, the 2024 judges were Dr Linda Walker and Jane van Eeten.

The $2000 Bendigo Bank Award was split between photographer Tegan Kuhl and painter Suesanne Hope.

Entry numbers were well down on the 2023 exhibition held at the Riddoch Arts and Culture Centre

The exhibition was officially opened by Wattle Range Mayor Des Noll, with Sorby Adams ward councillor Dale Price and Member for MacKillop Nick McBride in attendance.

The next exhibition at the Millicent Gallery is presented by Robe artist Jojo Spook with “A different view”.

It is inspired by her trips in the plane “The Flying Caravan” around Australia.

It will open at 2pm on October 20.
