Brains Trust to raise funds

Millicent identity Moira Neagle has a personal reason for staging a fundraiser.

Brain cancer research will be the beneficiary of a quiz night at the Millicent Bowling Club on March 1.

It will honour the memory of her brother, Nick Neagle who suffered from brain tumours in the closing years of his life before his death at the age of 63 in 2023.

Dubbed the Brains Trust Quiz Night, the usual arrangements will apply.

The night will include some side hustles so cash is needed.

For an additional $500 on the night Moira will shave her head for the cause.

The funds raised will go to Cure Cancer.

The entrance fee is $10 per person entry and there will be tables of eight.

Millicent Bowling Club members will staff the bar and participants are asked to bring their own snacks.

Ms Neagle said the Brains Trust quiz night will raise vital funds for brain cancer research.

“I am holding this fundraiser to raise funds for vital research into a cure for people with cancer,” Ms Neagle said.

She would also welcome donations to Cure Cancer via online means.
