Fantasy Medieval Fair returns

Fantasy Medieval Fair returns

Come one, come all to the Fantasy Medieval Fair, set to grace Mount Gambier again this year.

The 2022 Fantasy Medieval Fair was recently awarded Community Event of the Year as part of the Mount Gambier City Council’s Australia Day celebrations – with this year’s event set to be even more impressive.

Organised by Limestone Coast Festivals and Events, the fair and subsequent feast will be returning to the Mount Gambier Showgrounds on April 15 and 16.

The family-friendly fair will return with even more of what proved popular last year.

Enjoy historical village displays, trade demonstrations, armoured combat, maypole dancing, medieval markets, food stalls and the Sons of Odin tavern.

Try your hand at longbow archery, try a game of Dungeons and Dragons and pet miniature donkeys and goats.

There will be plenty of photo opportunities to be had and dressing up in costume is recommended with prizes on offer.

The festival will run from 10am to 4pm both days, with tickets available online or ate the gate.

And as the sun sets on April 15, the candles will be lit and the feast shall begin.

The SE Marquees, Weddings and Events Medieval Feast is for adults only and provides an evening of music, merriment and mead.

The menu has been improved upon and the bar service will have medieval-themed drinks available including the addition of mulled wine.

Enjoy the magical sounds of Siobhan Owen playing the harp, and warm yourself by the firepits.

You never know what the evening will bring! Costumes are not mandatory, but strongly encouraged.
