Former Community Club premises back on market

The building which once housed the Millicent and District Community Club is back on the open market.

It has housed the Millicent Bargain Mart since 2020 and offers between S3.2m and $3.5m are sought.

Declining patronage and high debt levels prompted the closure of the Community Club in 2018 after 54 years of continuous trading on the purpose-built Davenport Street site.

An Adelaide insolvency specialist was appointed as the administrator and he liquidated the assets.

The building was purchased by a Geelong retailer in 2020 and he converted it to a shopping emporium.
