Legal debate continues

Further legal debate involving a Millicent male youth accused of causing the death of three members of a prominent Millicent family by dangerous driving in 2020 continued in the Youth Court in Adelaide last week.

The two-vehicle collision near the radio towers on the Princes Highway at Suttontown claimed the lives of Ned and Nan Walker and their adult daughter Sue Skeer.

Youth Court judge Penny Eldridge reportedly rejected an application from the defence for the trial to be heard in a closed court.

It was submitted by veteran Adelaide barrister Bill Boucaut S.C.

The matter is now set to go to trial this month in Mount Gambier by judge alone.
