‘Murder’ premeditated

Producer Chris Hollingsworth is calling for participants to take part in the seventh annual “Murder in the Museum Melodrama” at Millicent in 2024.

The sold-out shows have been staged at night at the Millicent National Trust Museum for almost a decade with the facility providing an ideal backdrop to the action.

Ms Hollingsworth brings together actors and behind-the-scenes personnel in a light-hearted performance.

“If you are interested in being involved either in the cast or a guide, let me know,” Ms Hollingsworth said.

“Local author Chris Parmenter has written a brilliant outline and we will be working out and developing characters as soon as possible.

“We plan to have a meeting in early January to outline the script etc.”

Organisers say the murder melodramas are not just about raising funds for the museum.

They say the fun nights are about showing off what the museum has to offer like the blacksmith’s shop, shipwreck room, steam locomotive, costume collection and the horse-drawn carriages.

The 2024 event will be held on April 6.
