Public toilet facilities closed due to vandalism at popular Robe Long Beach

One of the South East region’s most popular beaches no longer has public toilets.

Due to ongoing vandalism at Robe’s Long Beach toilets over the previous weeks, the facilities will be closed by the seaside council until further notice.

Windows have been smashed and interior fittings damaged.

Robe District Council chief executive James Holyman has explained the decision.

“This vandalism is very disappointing to see in our community with much of council’s time and resources going into this in the past weeks,” Mr Holyman said.

He has encouraged members of the public with information about the vandalism at the Long Beach toilets to contact the Robe Police Station on 8768 2118 or the council office on 8768 2003.
