There was a special presentation when the 2021 season of the Millicent Uniting Church Indoor Bowls Club drew to a close.
A cheque for $1500 from Uniting Church Indoor Bowls president Janet Watson was given to Royal Flying Doctor Service Millicent Auxiliary representative Mary Dawson.
Around 20 bowlers compete on the carpet in the church hall each Thursday night between April and September with their fees making a RFDS presentation possible each year.
No play was possible in 2020 owing to the COVID protocols.
As the RFDS aircraft average 100 landings in Millicent each year, the bowlers are always keen to support the organisation.
There were 16 at the presentation dinner held at the Somerset Hotel.
