Public feedback on the future of the Millicent saleyards is now being sought by Wattle Range Council via an online survey.
Respondents are invited to provide comments on an anonymous basis as well as answer three questions.
Council would like to know if the respondent lived in the council area or beyond, ran cattle and whether they believed the saleyards should remain open or closed.
Responses must be lodged by May 5.
The survey contains a preamble detailing the financial challenges facing the saleyards due to ageing infrastructure and plummeting throughput as well as links to key reports and other documents.
The wording of the survey was agreed at the latest meeting of the saleyards advisory committee which has representatives from all key stakeholders.
