Soccer stars to tear up city

The region’s best junior soccer players will converge on Adelaide this weekend to take part in a state carnival.

The State Identification Carnival will feature the best junior players from the Barry Maney Group Limestone Coast Premier League.

The players were selected from the Limestone Coast teams that represented the league during the SAJSA State Championships in Adelaide over the June long weekend.

Local under 13 boys selected include International’s Jamison Howley and Seb Morello, Solomon Htoo from Blue Lake, Gambier Centrals’ Nathan Chatindiara and Will Dower from Millicent.

Selected for the under 12 boys side were Sam Mya from Blue Lake, alongside Gambier Centrals player Eli Loef and Millicent’s Tait Grgretic.

These players will undergo trials on the weekend, which will be used to select promising players for the state side.

The local players from the Limestone Coast will be competing against other players who participated in the SAJSA State Championships who were also invited to try out.

The selections are a fantastic display of the young talent the league has to offer with only Apollo and Naracoorte not having a player selected.

It will provide a great chance for the local talent to experience some higher level coaching and train with fellow future stars.
