The Mount Gambier Veteran and Vintage Car Club has been a hive of activity of late, with 60 members recently enjoying a tour around the region with a picnic lunch at Dartmoor’s Fort O’Hare.
The club is also bidding farewell to Peter and Kirsty Roulstone as they prepare to move to Dubbo to be closer to family.
The pair have been valued members of the club for six years with Mr Roulstone having only been a member for a short period of time when he stepped up to take the secretary position six years ago until now.
Mr and Mrs Roulstone are described as wonderful contributors and as such the club is going to recognise their contribution with a special luncheon on March 5.
Social coffee mornings on Thursdays have proved very successful for the organisation with many regular attendees, plus casual drop-ins enjoying a cuppa and morning tea.
The new cut-off date for conditional registration has meant they have picked up many new members.
The club has more than 200 members to date with a wide variety of vehicles attending events.
Members will attend the Wooden Boat event at Nelson this Saturday and the organisation is planning a Breakfast in the Bush, other club runs and a tour.
