It took almost eight months for the State Government to publicly answer a query from Independent Member for Mount Gambier Troy Bell about the cost of the Wulanda Recreation and Convention Centre.
Mr Bell had posed the query at a parliamentary estimates committee hearing in June and it was taken “on notice”.
A printed reply from Primary Industries Minister Clare Scriven was published in Hansard last week.
“I have been advised the Wulanda Recreation and Convention Centre project construction price is $57.3m, in accordance with the signed contract with Badge Construction,” Minister Scriven said.
