Art collective exhibits creations

The annual South Australian Living Artists (SALA) Festival came to the Millicent Gallery on Friday night with the opening of the Nature of Resilience display.

It is an exhibition from the Limestone Coast Art Collective of Marg Hage, Sandra Hart, Cindy Bunt, Merryn Marshall, Julie Ann McEwen, Tanya Hunter, Carol Baxter and Kerrie Head.

The artists use a range of media including oil and acrylic painting together with felt, yarn, textiles and hand-stitching techniques.

The opening before a gathering of artists and well-wishers was performed by ABC Radio South East presenter Rod Sparks.

Artists from the Limestone Coast Art Collective will be “in residence” at the Millicent Gallery over the coming weeks.

Nature of Resilience will remain on show until September 11.
